1956 - the beginning
The company was founded in 1956 when Natale Avezza, known as Talein, purchased the farmhouse after many years of working as a sharecropper on various farms in the Asti area. Natale was soon joined by his son Aldo in managing the two hectares of vineyards surrounding the farmhouse, passing on to him the passion for viticulture.
Although lacking a sparkling wine tradition, the allure and appeal of the world of the Classic Method inspired a desire to take on the challenge, creating a wine that would express the great qualities of our lands in Langhe and Monferrato.
1987 - Paolo Avezza
The company structure does not change much, except that in 1987 Paolo Avezza, Aldo's son, takes over and assumes its management.
2001 - the transformation
The Avezza company is located on the hills of Canelli and underwent a transformation in 2001, when Paolo decided to start producing wine from his own grapes, which had previously been sold to other wineries.
2019 - Lyhus Family
In 2019, the company was purchased by the Lyhus family. This marked the beginning of the collaboration between the Avezza family, who continue to manage the vineyards and winery, and Lisette along with her parents Vidar and Helle.
